Resumo: | It is common in Brazilian schools observed by the choices of textbooks adopted, that complex numbers have a more algebraic approach than geometric, and therefore less exploited by teachers. It is in this circuit that teaching with the support of dynamic geometry programs shows up effective for the skills and abilities required in high school. The purpose of this monograph is to be able to show a new didactic tool for teaching complex numbers with a focus on operations with geometric representations. So hopefully that the geometric approach also assists in the understanding of these as associated algebra object, reducing the gap between the abstract and the concrete. Our monograph will start introducing the teaching of complex numbers in the view of National Curriculum Parameters and some textbooks. Then we report a brief history of complex numbers also as making mention of his operations. At the end we present activities with geometric representations of complex numbers. |
