Resumo: | The poor - mostly black - female bodies (here called female resistance bodies) of the citizens of Maceió are those whose experiences of public open spaces in the capital of Alagoas are the most affected by the forms of domination of patriarchy, capitalism and colonialism. Within this context, these are the bodies that accumulate the Marks imposed by gender, social class, race and other markers of difference that intersect their reality. On the other hand, these women are also responsible for putting into practice the “Marks of Resistance”, based on their ways of appropriating the public open spaces of the city of Maceió/AL, and for developing, consequently, a more accurate perception of existing relationships between the spatial configuration of these spaces and the actions of attraction/repulsion of the bodies in them. In view of the above, this work aims at observing and naming both the Urban Marks in public open spaces left by the female resistance bodies, and the Urban Marks in female resistance bodies caused by the experiences of public open spaces in Maceió/AL. To achieve this goal, we rely on a methodological-political-ethical project that used a qualitative approach, with a feminist perspective (in terms of knowledge production) and cartographic inspiration, which contributed to a responsible, critical and committed position to the realities found. This encounter was established with the application of the Urban Marks Observation Method (UMOM) developed to approach the urban experiences of poor women in the capital of Alagoas. The UMOM steps are organized in: I) Analysis of Contexts; II) In-site Observation; III) Semi-structured interview; IV) List of Everyday Itinerary; V) Perceptual Maps and Vi) Exploratory Walk; and it came to life through the urban experiences of Zezé, Eliane and Valéria, three women of resistence residents of the Projects of Social Interest Prof. Paulo Bandeira, José Aprígio Vilela e Parque dos Caetés in the Benedito Bentes neighborhood. The application of the Urban Marks Observation Method allowed observing and naming, above all, the Emotional Urban Marks experienced by the three co-authors of the research, which may indicate a possible generalization of the reality experienced by the women of resistence of the Projects in question. Finally, we hope, with this developed material, to contribute to the expansion of the voices historically silenced in the academic knowledge production space; fostering the debate on the questions presented today, which are still incipient. |
