Resumo: This (AWMPC) Academic Work of Master Professional Completion in Health Education (FAMED) consists of the following sections: presentation; dissertation, research and related educational products, general considerations, appendices and attachments. The presentation explains the personal motivations that led to the research and the historical context on the studied subject. The dissertation comes from the research “Training Model in Physical Therapy in the Student Perspective”. The objective was to verify the training model adopted in the Physiotherapy Course from the student perspective. The methodology was quantitative and qualitative, using the case study strategy, a questionnaire was applied and it was applied to 140 students of the Physical Therapy Course of a Public University of Alagoas. It was observed with the results found that the students understand the functionality model in their professional practice, but gaps and weaknesses were identified, regarding the supply of discharge, in the conceptual aspects of functionality and disability and that the disease still guides the professional practice. Given the gaps found, actions were thought and executed that could collaborate with the Physiotherapy Course of the studied institution. As a result of these actions emerged the educational products: workshops with research actors, on the model of functionality in clinical practice and preparation of technical report for the coordination of the institution. We conclude that the proposed objectives were achieved, having learned for the researcher and her interlocutors in this academic trajectory. As it produced improvements, as a greater awareness of the actors involved (students, teachers and preceptors) contributing to the training within the functionality model.
