Sex education is a common practice in schools, while still strongly rooted in traditional pedagogy and the biomedical model of biologizing approach. The use of educational technology helps overcome the traditional pedagogy, favoring progressive pedagogical trend, with pedagogical approach centered on the subject, in a dialogical learning context. It is a methodological research, which focuses on the development, evaluation and improvement of instruments approved by the Research Ethics Committee and aimed to validate the look and content of the comic book called "Fertilization: my body can generate a living? Data collection was conducted from February to April 2015 by a committee composed of twelve judges, among researchers in the field of basic education teachers and health professionals. To estimate the reliability of the instrument used in the study, the Cronbach alpha coefficient was calculated in order to measure the correlation between the items through the profile analysis of the replies given by the judges. It was used for the quantitative analysis of the content Validity Index (CVI) and the 0.8 parameter as a reference for subsequent validation and permanence of the item; and Ídeo – Central analysis for the content analysis of the suggestions / comments from the judges. After the individual evaluation of each item, the educational material was evaluated as a whole, calculating the IVC of each block and the global, giving a concordance index of 0.90 as the apparent validity (clarity / understanding) and 0.87 as to the validity of content (relevance / representativeness), thus reaching an overall CVI 0.89 and thus being characterized as a valid educational strategy. The suggestions of the judges were accepted for the most part and are included in the final version. It was concluded that the comic, considered valid in terms of content and appearance, is a potentially effective resource for sex education and can be used as paradidactic material in schools and extramural and thus constitutes an important tool for the promotion of sexual health and reproductive adolescents, favoring the achievement of autonomy and contributing valuably to the field of health education.
