Resumo: | The aim of this work is to present a study on the parabola and its applications using different forms of those usually treated under the Elementary and Secondary Education. In developing this work we tried to address its algebraic form through formulas deductions; as well as its geometric shape, exploring its definition and analyzing the conic section that results in parabola, not common fact the current educational activities, no longer just a graphical representation of the quadratic function. Further study was carried out on the theoretical aspects of the parabola and their applications in different areas, such as physics and engineering showing the importance of this concept in technological advancement. In this work, it can be noted that emphasis was given to a different way of exposing the content of those consisting primarily of memorizing proposed contents and use them mechanically, not allowing them to develop skills necessary autonomy of students. It should also be noted that the illustrations and examples made are easy views on every day and beneficial applications for human life. As a result, the material developed has become more interesting, attractive and enjoyable, enabling the understanding by the students and facilitates the work of teachers to address the content involving parable. |
