Resumo: |
There has been substantial interest in the properties of substituted meso-tetraarylporphyrins and metallo porphyrins as catalysts for oxidation of hydrocarbons and oxygen detection, among others. This work describes the synthesis of a new porphyrin, TBMPP 27, and its metallo complexes 28 and 29. Herein it was used a readily available reactant as starting material 22, vanilin, which was submitted too alkylation with n-bromobutane affording the synthetic precursos 25. The desired porphyrin 27, was obtained by reacting pyrrole and the corresponding aldehyde in the presence of propionic acid (Alder - Longo method). The purified porphyrin 27 was then subjected to the meallation process. the synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, UV-Vis, NMR and EPR spectroscopy; |
