Resumo: |
Mathematics is more than a language, so it is necessary for it to be understood by the students, so that it can be used as an instrument of reasoning and resolution of daily problems. In this perspective, the teaching of mathematics has been transformed, seeking to bring students' reality closer to the concepts and definitions proper to mathematics. However, this approach is compromised when it comes to Field Education, because the textbooks available to students bring an alienated approach to the students' reality. Thus, in this qualitative research idealized for the conclusion of the Professional Master in Mathematics in National Network, we sought to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using Mathematical Modeling to develop mathematical concepts and the possibility of performing this type of work with different classes. For this, protection of two water springs was built in private properties, near the Benedito de Paula Louro College, with the help of students, teachers and parents of students living in the community. During the construction of each protection, in addition to discussing issues of preservation of the environment, especially water care, were intuitively applied mathematical concepts. Subsequently, three classes were chosen to study mathematical contents pertinent to the Political Pedagogical Project, corresponding to each class, using the work related to the constructed protections. The group of 7th year A, of 2016, carried out a research with relatives of students who study in said College. With this, they studied basic notions of statistics and transformations of agrarian measures. With the 8th year, the work was divided into two parts: the first, held in the second half of 2015 with a group that presents great learning difficulties, and the second part, held in the first half of 2016,with a participatory and Excellent didactic performance. Both carried out a work with models, studying concepts of scale, rule of three, properties and areas of the polygons. It was concluded that to meet the differences between the classes, it is necessary that the teacher is willing to adapt the curriculum according to the needs that arise during the development of the work. However, it is possible to use Mathematical Modeling, considering that it is an important tool in the construction of scientific knowledge, through everyday situations of apprentices, aiming to transform a phenomenon of the real situation or a problem in mathematical language, Arousing greater interest and, consequently, greater participation and better performance of students. In addition, establish a direct relationship between mathematical knowledge and important real life issues. Therefore, it is suggested that Mathematical Modeling be applied using other subjects related to the daily life of the rural people, such as agriculture, milk production, reforestation, labor and income, among others |
