This work had the purpose to prove the aluminous phosphate potential island Trauíra, from northwest of Maranhão – Brazil. The concentration P2O5 decided through analysis solubility and to makes one’s will the potential source phosphorus for the corn crop. Four sources of phosphate employed (phosphate aluminous calcined, phosphate aluminous not calcined the Island of Trauíra, calcium phosphate - Arad and simple superphosphate) in bifactorial test 4 x 6 with 3 replicates in pots with capacity two liters. Although to not be significant differences between dosis x tratament the comparative research the sources proved the potential of phosphate aluminous calcined the Island of Trauíra as an alternative source for farming of Maranhão.
