Candói is a municipality located in the south-central region of Paraná. According to INCRA - National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform, 2010 - the municipality has a total of six projects in rural settlements, where they distributed 242 families, occupying a total area of 3681.41 ha. The region that has a greater number of settlements is the mesoregion Mid-South, this fact can be explained by the predominance of rural municipalities in this rural region that remained even with increased urbanization in recent decades. Another relevant factor is that the mesoregion was colonized by the large acres that remain to this day. In the Center-South of Paraná is possible to find settlement projects of federal order, state, Program Cédula da Terra and Colonization Project. The municipality of Candói is one that presents the greatest diversity in the origin of the settlements, and four projects originating at the federal level, a project and a project for Colonization and Cédula da Terra Program. This research characterizes geoeconomically the following settlement projects: Colonization of Ilhéus Project, Cédula da Terra Rio Bonito Project, Mata do Cavernoso Settlement Project, Águas de Santa Clara Settlement Project, União São Pedro Settlement Project e Colônia São João Batista Settlement Project.
