Resumo: The sound when unwanted becomes noise. So in classroom and reading room, where the spoken word must be prioritized, acoustic treatment is required in order to reduce these noises and increase the level of intelligibility, providing greater acoustic comfort to users. In this context, this work aims to study the acoustics of adverse environmental conditions due to high humidity and temperatures, and develop acoustic panels that provide greater sound absorption of the environment by reducing the reverberation time of it. The acoustic panel suggested it is a correct material, by using post-consumer materials (PET and EVA) in its confection combining sustainability, economic viability and acoustic comfort. The noise characterization of composite acoustic panel proposed in this work was performed from the measurement in reverberation room, the sound absorption. This test was conducted in reference panels (concrete without addition) and panels with 5% addition of EVA and 1% addition of PET. The sound absorption coefficient (NRC) panels with the addition of 0.07 and 0.06 presented concrete without adding NRC, the two values are above those found in the literature for concrete (NRC maximum of 0.05) and concrete with addition of Rubber (0.05 NRC).
