Resumo: The current capitalist society faces the dilemma of providing quality products and services efficiently, without keeping an industrial complex of repressed workers, that culminates in a society that suffers. In order to answer this question, Ramos (1989) proposed, in his "Paraeconomic," paradigm, the idea of isonomy (substantive organizations), which would contrast with the economy (functional organizations) in human societies. This study intended to examine the elements of substantive rationality in the organizational processes in a conscientiocentric institution - the International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology (IIPC) - to identify its intensity and verify the possibility of its classification as a substantive organization. Conscientiocentric institutions are non-profit, volunteer-based, nonpartisan and apolitical, independent of state or private grants organizations, which are intended for research and education of Consciousness, earning funds through the sale of books and courses or donations. Through a case study, qualitative, witch data were collected through participant observation, archival research and semi-structured interviews, based on the method proposed by Serva (1996), this study analyzed 11 organizational processes in order to identify the predominant indicators and this level of substantive rationality. Upon the 11 cases examined, 5 had levels of substantive rationality classified as very high (Division of labor, Social action and environmental relationships, Reflection on the organization; Conflict; Symbolic dimension); 4 cases were classified as high (Hierarchy and standards; Values and objectives, Communication and interpersonal relationships, Personal satisfaction); 1 process had a mean rating (Decision making) and 1 get a low rate (Control). Thus, in general analysis of the IIPC, 10 of the 11 indicators relate to prevalent substantive rationality and 9 of the 11 cases were analyzed as having substantive rationality index classified as high or very high. Thus, it was considered that the index of substantive rationality of the organization is classified as high. This indicates that, by these criteria, the IIPC - International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology - can be equated to an organization substantive equality in the mold of proposed by Ramos. Its predominant indicators were: understanding, self-actualization and emancipatory values
