The goal of this research is to study the main soil types in the Pirapó drainage basin and the effects of different forms of use and management on the physical-hydric behavior of the soil, as well as assess the aggregate stability and their role in the triggering of the erosive processes. Red Latosols and Red Nitosols both of a clay texture under pasture, grain crops and native forest and Red Latossols and Red Argisols under pasture, grain crops, sugarcane crops and native forest were analyzed. It was realized physical analysis of soil density, particle density, total porosity, macroporosity, microporosity, granulometry and aggregate stability; hydric analysis of infiltration rate and hydraulic conductivity and chemical analysis of organic carbon. The results indicate higher degradation of the physical and hydric attributes of the Red Latosols and Red Nitosols of the clay texture under grain crops culture. For the Red Latosols medium texture the higher degradation was observed under sugarcane and the Red Argisols of medium texture presented significant changes on its attributes under all types of use
