Resumo: | This dissertation aims to present the results of a terminological bilingual descriptive survey about terms related to Veterinary Medicine, large animal subarea, as well as to present a prototype of a dictionary in the pair of Portuguese from Brazil (PB) and Spanish American (SA) languages. The theoretical part is based on the Communicative Theory of Terminology (CTT) and the selection of candidates to terms was performed on a specialized computerized corpus in PB, with search of correspondents in another computerized corpus in SA, considering the variants identified in specialized computerized corpus from the countries of the Southern Common Market (Mercosul). We seek to demonstrate in the work that the terminological dictionary are, although exhaustive, indispensable tools for professionals, researchers and students from the most diverse areas of knowledge, mainly from Veterinary Medicine, which is far from having in Brazil a dictionary that meets the expectations of the probable consultants .Therefore, this research seeks to develop a systematic study for the making of a product that contributes to such accumulated area of knowledge, and after an analysis about the commercial and linguistic barriers present in current commercial exchanges, it is directed to the SA from the countries that constitute the Mercosul, aiming to offer the professionals and students from these countries a consulting material that can help in the translations and elaboration of texts inside their work context. |
