Resumo: | This paper analyzes current gender relations as a product of an unequal and oppressive historical process to women's category, which has been naturalized in the course of human history. The aim of this study is to cast both a Marxist feminist as a Cultural Historical Psychology look to this phenomenon, investigating how the concepts related to gender constitution are developed - and specifically , the role that children's books whose central proposition discourse on human sexuality and gender relations can play in the development of children in early school age. Taking the children's book as a social object, we affirm that they bring along ideological elements that play an important role in child development: literature brings social meanings, videlicet, they are not neutral, but rather developed from the understanding that the authors have developed about the phenomena that surrounds reality; it became important as well, therefore, to think about the role that plays the mediator when presenting the content of these books to the child, emphasizing the importance of an education committed to omnilateral development of students. From a literature review based essentially on Cultural Historical Psychology and Marxist orientation of authors who discuss women's situation in patriarchate, our specific objectives are to contribute to theoretical support in gender relations and patriarchate studies to the area of Cultural Historical Psychology, analyzing under befitting methodology the historical construction of the concept of male and female, family and love relationships; it is also incumbent upon our work to pay attention to the violence that permeates the human daily life, both in its physical and symbolic way, and which comes from individuals marginalization, those who do not belong to a white, middle class, heterosexual reality. In that way, is carried out, at first, the data collection about the historical construction of gender relations, seeking to understand the source of the oppression suffered by the women's category; then it analyzes the fundamental concepts of Vygotsky's work, as mediation, sign and meaning development, which are fundamental to the understanding of human development as a historically determined process. At last, it is proposed work issues concerning the development of the imaginative and creative process of the child, and the children's book object as an important tool for education; then it is analyzed a selection of four children's books that have as their theme the difference between the sexes, and the relationship between them and family constitutions. As results, we stated that the work of Vygotsky, in its methodology, provides the path needed to analyze the development of the concepts that concerns our research's objective, explaining the importance of emancipator mediations of patriarchal logic, and promoting, in children, the building of an individual both active and conscious about the reality in which it participates. Children's books , when analyzed in analytical categories ,namely, human development concept ,of female and male condition, of family and the organization of social roles , are revealed, when combined with a proper mediation - that is, when mediated by someone working this content from the reflection of the contradictions present in the content presented - can be seen as a tool capable of promoting the development of consciousness towards overcoming the submission rules and exploitation of a gender by the other |
