Violence is considered a complex, multifactorial, manifesting itself in different ways, with great potential for harm and that affects the individual and collective health. Health services receive, daily, cases involving victims of violence, and repeatedly, health professionals are the first to face off with the service, highlighting them as strategically relevant actors in the actions of care, defense, and interrupt cycle of violence. This study uses a qualitative approach, aimed at analyzing hospital care for children and adolescents victims of violence in the city of Feira de Santana - BA. Among the specific objectives we seek to identify concepts and information about violence, used by healthcare professionals who treat children and adolescents victims of violence, to analyze actions undertaken by these professionals, and understand the advantages and difficulties that interfere with the identification and care of children and adolescents victims of violence. Study subjects were professionals involved in the care of children and adolescents victims of violence in the hospital (nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers and nursing technicians). We used the technique to collect data to semi-structured interview (20 interviews) and documentary analysis. The data were analyzed based on the technique of content analysis. For subjects in the study, violence is a multifactorial phenomenon that generates developmental damage in children and adolescents from the violation of physical integrity, psychological, social and sexual spaces within and outside the family, violence against children and adolescents leave marks and damages individual and collective; the care of child and adolescent victims of violence in public hospitals of Feira de Santana - BA, and barriers and strategies for care in public hospitals for children and adolescents victims of violence. The results of this study suggest that health professionals understand the violence, especially as rape and assault and know types and triggers of violence, although not having training, no guidelines or protocols for care. The health team says that violence affects the health and all aspects of life in children and adolescents, and collectively reflect on families and society. The professionals know what actions should be developed, but they still do not occur in a coordinated manner across care and unanimous. Any difficulties or obstacles encountered in meeting the child and adolescent victims of violence refer to those faced by health professionals, victims, families, in addition to structural problems. It also focuses on strategies that can facilitate problem solving and provide the care. |
