In recent decades, Manaus experiencing a process of change in its age structure called the demographic transition. This transformation causes consequences in social, economic, political and criminal. Before the growth of the elderly population survey was conducted on the criminal policy of protecting the elderly, seeking a critical eye on the application of these policies forms. The goal was to determine whether there is a pattern of violence against the elderly in the city of Manaus in the 2012 period to 2014. Therefore, the data were collected and analyzed seniors who are victims of crimes in the city of Manaus in the years under study, extracted the Integrated Public Security which is the official database of the Amazonas State System of Public Security. Subsequently, the profile of these occurrences are traced, according to the nature of the crime, days of the week, time of day, higher incidence of neighborhoods, administrative areas of the city and gender. The study could bring a greater understanding of the forms of protection to the elderly, aiming at further clarifying the matter to those who are interested and will serve as a source of research for further positioning by the scholars of the matter. Moreover, it has also important contribution to the field of public security, in that it will examine instances of crimes against the elderly in the city of Manaus in the period 2012-2014 and the actual demand of the elderly and may be a new redirection of public policies to promote and protect the rights of the elderly. No influence in the legal field because all conflicts involving older people will end or begin in the Judiciary. To develop research, outside shown the stage of demographic transition in Brazil and Amazonas and its implications for society, exploring data from official information system of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the National Health System. Important to note the approach social movements and Human Rights, explaining the institutes of legalization and institutionalization of the achievements of the groups and the prohibition of withdrawal of such rights. Other aspects analyzed correspond to the concept of old, the means for their protection and the alternatives offered by the State of Amazonas in Manaus City. The search result will tell you if there is a pattern of cases against the elderly registered in the city of Manaus for the years 2012 to 2014, facilitating the formulation and implementation of public policies for the older population.
