Resumo: The research object of this dissertation is the discourse on the construction of meanings that surround the attacks and massacres carried out by the extremist Islamic State in Europe. We understand that this group of the Middle East opposes the Western ideology and, therefore, performs its acts in this region. Therefore, the question that was sought to answer was: how in the discourse on attacks and massacres does the media construct effects of truth and legitimacy that homogenize subjects and senses? In order to answer this question in the light of the Discourse Analysis, of pecheuxtiana slope, we constructed a file searching in Google the statement "Islamic State attacks Paris" and the result was 860 thousand links, of which we selected 10 materialities. In addition to the research question, we consider the general objective of suspending the effects of the meanings of discourses on the Islamic State / Islam that circulated from 2015 to 2016, asking how these effects are constituted from memories and speeches that cross and Anchor the say / talk about, taking into account the appointment. This general objective was divided into six specific objectives, which are: 1) to carry out a historical recovery of the Islamic State and Islam in order to denature / problematize imaginary around subjects, State and Religion Which legitimates and sustains the form of resistance and contestation carried out by them; 2) to focus discourse, history and historicity, highlighting its functioning in the discourse on the Islamic State / Islam with a view to highlighting the contradiction and antagonism in these discourses; 3) to map the discourses that circulated in the virtual media and to delimit the corpus, with a view to verify the regularities and displacements around the designations such as attacks, massacres and others considering the identifications, counteridentifications and disidentifications of the subjects; 4) to theoretically retake important notions of Discourse Analysis and that are demanded by the corpus and realized cutouts, such as Discursive Formation, Ideological Formation and Imaginary Formation; 5) to emphasize the notions of historical, enunciative and discursive event, considering the denominations in relation to the Islamists, the events and the countries attacked; 6) analyze how these events are discursed on the one hand in the news portals and, on the other hand, by the subjects of the two selected FDs: the Islamic State - the Middle East - and the Non-Islamic - the West. The media and speeches circulate discourses from the West and establish sensorial effects of intolerance, religious extremism and rejection of Western values as freedom, equality and fraternity (as postulated by France since its Revolution). Already the official communiqué of the EI leads to the effects of a sense of Western debauchery. For Islamist extremists in the Middle East, events of violence legitimize themselves in what they understand by a lack of submission to Allah, which results in a lack of faith and a reversal of values in the face of religion. The subjects of the Western world, according to the radical Islamists (such as the subjects of the Islamic State), are unfaithful and should be punished.
