Resumo: This study intended to analyze the urban occupation and perception towards satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida - Faixa II in Bairro Vila Bela, in Guarapuava-PR, between 2009 and 2014, before the development urban occurred in that period. This question is relevant because the urban occupation cause social, economic and environmental effects significant, requiring special attention to generate a process of segregation and social integration in the areas involved. The method used was a literature review through a guide for authors of themes space, perception and urban geography, as well as reading articles and research papers. In addition to the literature research, clinical method in conjunction with intensive and extensive direct observation, a questionnaire was applied to the program borrowers seeking to know their perception towards satisfaction as beneficiaries. It follows therefore that the housing issue needs to be debated harder, so that the urban settlement is guided by sustainability and minimization of impacts. Moreover, one can also see that the borrowers are partially satisfied with the villas acquired, proven by more than 75% of respondents say they are satisfied, suggesting, however, adjustments to the federal program to continue covering more families in order healthy and balanced.
