Resumo: From the 90s on, Paraná became a referencein the internationalization of the capital, because many industrial companies of foreign capital started to strongly invest on the state, especially on the Aglomerado Metropolitano de Curitiba (AMC). Thus, it is possible to realize that the territory of Paraná is more and more engaged in the internationalization. That considered, this research has as its main objective to perform a study about the presence of foreign capital in two cities of AMC, through a geoeconomic study about them, in Araucaria and São José dos Pinhais, checking how the process of internationalization of the capital in the industrial sectors of the two cities occurs, from the 90s on. Therefore, Araucaria is stressed for hosting since 1977, the President Getulio Vargas Refinery (REPAR). And, São José dos Pinhais is stressed because of the presence of multinational companies of the automobilist sector from the 90s on. These facts work as an attraction for the installation of other foreign companies in those cities and others of AMC. For the development of this research, reading and reflection of relevant bibliography were performed. Primary and secondary data were also used, such as interviews with authorities of government agencies and field study, in the area of study. It was possible to determine through the research that both cities possess a significant number of foreign companies sited in their territories, showing that the foreign capital only installs itself in privileged places, in which it may have access to logistics, qualified labor force and leading-edge technology, which both cities have.
