Resumo: |
The context of the assistance in Neonatal Intensive Care Units causes in accompanying women/mothers of premature newborns, a high probability of experiencing suffering during the hospitalization period. So, the tecnology of caring, “HumanizAction” of an extensionist character and interdisciplinary executive team, promoted and implemented strategies of support and care, in its expanded way with recreational and leisure activities, in which the participants were protagonists of the actions. Therefore, the aim of this study was to understand the experience of mothers of premature newborns, that were participating in the technology of caring – “HumanizAction”, in the process of their child’s hospitalization at the Santa Casa de Irati Unit, in the state of Parana. With a qualitative delineation and developed from the action-research, five mothers of premature newborns participated, who attended at least four technology actions. A questionnaire was applied to characterize the participants, the gestational history was obtained from medical records available at the Unit and photographs were recorded during the technology’s actions and triggered to individual interviews. The interviews were presented in the form of narratives, interlaced with other sources and analyzed using the Narrative Analysis method. The categories that emerged from the narratives caused by the photographs, represented that the support group’s actions promoted a space of freedom for expressions, reception, listening and building bonds. As well as the untying of te attention from women/mothers centered on the newborn, causing the appearance of protagonism and antagonisms of feelings. The trajectory of women/mothers was marked by intense relationship with the team, processes that caused transformations and redefinitions, reducing anxiety and stress. In this way, caring technology has contributed to the expansion of possibilities in the humanization of care and stengthening of this population, in order to face their experiences in the hospitalization process. |
