Resumo: The present work seeks to discuss issues about religious diversity in society, especially in the school environment and in the lives of young people, through a case study at a High School of Irati city, focusing on the students of the last year of high school. The main objective was to study the cultural perceptions of young high school students about religious diversity. In order to do so, the work was carried out through theoretical research in which topics such as culture, diversity, young culture, school culture, religious diversity and human rights were searched, as well as field research using questionnaires, interviews, observation And interpretation of written documents such as the Political Pedagogical Project, School Rules and the teaching materials of Religious Education that the institution had. In this way, the research sought to answer the question: What are the cultural perceptions that young students of the last year of high school have of religious diversity? The results revealed that young people have some knowledge about religious diversity, but still limited. Although religiosity presents itself as something important for most of them, since the majority affirmed to practice some religion. However, what draws most attention in the results of the work are the reports of young people about situations of prejudice and religious discrimination that they experienced, including in the school environment and by teachers. Situations that describe and denounce a society, which often neglects the diversity and acts of disrespect suffered by religious minorities. It is concluded that young people consider religiousness important, but they demonstrate insufficient knowledge about respect for the diverse and point to the need for schools to carry out work that is truly aimed at promoting knowledge And respect for religious diversity.
