Resumo: The present study has as main objective to evaluate the dynamics of rainfallrunoff process in sub-watershed of the Cascavel`s watershed (CW), with different levels of soil sealing; and specific identify and map types of use and occupation of the CW and correlate the rate of impervious areas with housing density and income in Guarapuava - PR. The adopted methodological referrals were : mapping of impervious areas, using the orbital picture of RapidEye system of 27/09/2011 , with spatial resolution of 5X5 me spectral resolution between 440 m and 850 mm; organization and tabulation of demographic, housing density and income; correlation of impervious areas with housing density and income; field work; installation of streamflow stations and monitoring the flow in sub-watershed with different rates of sealing; behavior analysis of rainfall and runoff data and its relation to the degree of waterproofing for each sub-watershed. It was observed that more than 68 % of BHC is located in the urban area. It urban sub-watershed have more than 60 % of their impervious areas. The impervious areas in Guarapuava related with housing density, with a coefficient of determination of 0.83 (AI = 0.0159+0.1353 DH). The urban area of Guarapuava went through an intense process of urbanization from the 1970s, accompanied by a significant expansion of impervious areas, a fact which confirms the increased runoff, which in turn increases the peaks of maximum flow. The waterproofing altered river hydrology dynamics in urban sub-watershed in Guarapuava
