This research conducts a historical-geographical interpretation of the role of Dutch agricultural cooperatives as an organization of space agents. Therefore, it rescued the history of Dutch immigration in the Paraná Campos Gerais region from a geographical perspective, seeking to identify the immigration's social and organization system around colonies, and their labor organization around the agricultural cooperative. Looking to demonstrate how State interventions were responsible for aligning the Dutch cooperative into the agricultural modernization's logic, the research opens a discussion about the changes seen in paranaense countryside with the articulation between State and agricultural cooperatives. Giving an emphasis on the period after 1990, it tries to understand the impacts of neoliberal posture and productive restructuration at the period. All works were performed in office and directly in the field to obtain the primary and secondary data research. As a result, the research shows alignment between the Dutch cooperatives and the current model of national agricultural cooperativism. |
