USO DAS TICS NO ENSINO DA TEMÁTICA ECOLOGIA NA PERSPECTIVA DA APRENDIZAGEM SIGNIFICATIVA

Resumo: In viewing the classrooms, we found restless and disinterested students, who have access to technology in their social environment. We tried to approximate this reality in search of knowledge, valuing the scientific content by working and encouraging students in active participation in science classes. For that, we developed a proposal with the perspective of using different resources than the traditional methodology. The aiming was to facilitate meaningful learning in the approach of concepts involving the ecological theme, in the concepts of living beings, not living beings, food chain and photosynthesis, for the 6th graders of Floriano Peixoto State Elementary School, Laranjeiras do Sul - PR. The respect for living beings and their ecosystem, the appreciation of life diversity and recognition of intricate network which exists in natural ecosystems were themes developed in classroom. In this study we applied previous organizers, concept maps, information and communication technologies, as well as the theory of meaningful learning for education. A methodological approach was the action research method type of qualitative research. To achieve our goals, activities were performed along the use of a commercial film as a previous organizer about the ecological theme, written interpretative activities about the movie, activities involving the use of technologies available on the web as literature searches, games and simulators and the use of video concept maps. The data collection techniques were based on application of preliminary technology diagnosis, pre and post-test about ecology, written tests, student’s participating in activities, discussions and seminars. Data analysis allowed us to verify that students use commonly the technology in their daily lives, but very little in their studies. We noticed the development, motivation and interaction of students from experimental class through a significant learning perspective likewise the improvement of school performance, organization of complete and consistent answers and construction of consistent concept maps related to worked content.
