Resumo: |
This research work is affiliated to the theory of French Discourse Analysis, developed by the philosopher Michel Pêcheux (AD), and has as its central theme the discourse of guilt and regret present in the autobiography textual genre, produced by students of Youth and Adult Education (YAE) High School, deprived of freedom. This choice came from the need to observe which discourses are taken up, by interdiscourse, in the production of texts by subjects in freedom deprivation and to what extent these productions can be used as a subterfuge to dissemble their ideological formation. Thus, we seek to understand how the speeches of male students, in situation of freedom deprivation, produce effects of meaning of guilt and regret as they construct narratives about their own lives. For this, the concepts of discursive memory, silencing, repeatability, conditions of production, subject-position, sliding of meaning, ideological formation, and discursive formation were mobilized in this study in an attempt to unveil the weft of possible meanings that enable, in turn, new meanings. Therefore, as proposed by AD, we wove interpretative gestures into the analyzed materiality, identifying the effects of meaning produced within these discourses. The research, of qualitative approach, was carried out through the theoretical and methodological approach of AD, and is constituted from seven texts that were randomly extracted from a collection of eleven autobiographies produced, in a prison context, by students deprived of freedom, as part of a school project of the discipline of Literature. The autobiographies, taken as testimonies for the purpose of discourse analysis in this work, were collected in the Google Academic Platform from the following descriptors: prisoners, Pernambuco, autobiographies and coadunate with the objectives and guiding questions of this study. Faced with the data collected, we proceeded with our analytical gestures that were organized from the description and analysis of the discourses presented in the verbal materiality of the text, by thematic paths, considering the autobiographies as testimonies. We also investigated marks of religious, legal, social and political discourse in the discursive productions of male students deprived of freedom. The analyses point to effects that the subjects deprived of freedom who had their testimonies analyzed are crossed by a context of domestic violence that constitute their 'place of memory' from a very young age. That from the incarcerated subject position, the blame for the crimes committed is attributed to various situations and, almost never, there is self-blaming, which leads us to an effect of (Dis)guilt. The discourse of repentance, in turn, is constituted by religious interdiscourses that direct us to the effects of meaning of change, however, our analyses also show that in the vast majority, even though the context of domestic violence has been a constant in the lives of these subjects, they don’t depart from the discursive formation (FD) of the male chauvinist and/or patriarchal that constitute them. Finally, the research also points to an excess of violence in the actions of the police, whether with the subjects already deprived of their freedom, inside the penitentiary, or when they are approached/arrested, revealing a discrepancy between the effective conduct and what should function as their position, as a security organ legitimated by the State. |
