Resumo: This thesis carries out an analysis on the film A Pele que Habito (2011) by the director Pedro Almodóvar discussing the skin as a metonymic frontier of the gender identity. Therefore, the dynamics of the film emerges from the intricate webs which the binomial character Vicente/Vera, who goes through a sex-change operation by default. Thus, we have used the filmic language searching to establish, from the specific filmic takes, the places which are going to discuss the skin as a frontier of the gender identity. As a result, a theoretical extent has been constituted for our analysis, the rizhome deleuzean concept, whose discussion goes deeper into our axis of investigation into the characteristic which puts as a fundamental place the necessity of thinking about the phenomena which appear in the images. The choice of the frames goes with the dimension of the happenings, appearing, so, multiple possibilities of interpretation in which we find Foucault and Deleuze to deepen our investigation. At last, the condition of A Pele que Habito appears to us as different characteristics and consequently conceives effects building other ways leading us to other possibilities concerning to the matter of gender. Certainly, the skin as metonymy binds these ways, though, in the film we are going to experience these effects inside territories profiled by the power and resistance.
