Resumo: | Regarding dramatic depersonalization as a composition procedure which overlaps the traditional concepts of lyrical self and authorship, I chose examine some formal levels of the paradox and contradiction in ortonymic and heteronymic thought in Fernando Pessoa’s work. First, as the depersonalization of the lyrical self, theorized by the poet, appears in the dramatic form of the poem The Sailor delimiting formal stages of writing and composition to be achieved and overcome by heteronyms. Following the path of depersonalization opened by the poem The Sailor, I will try to show how Alberto Caeiro, Ricardo Reis, Álvaro de Campos and Fernando Pessoa ortonym bring Pessoa’s depersonalization theory to the last consequences, disfiguring and reconfiguring fragments of reflective notions around the clash between identity of the lyrical self and the non-identity of the dramatic self. The formalization of the gap between them will be dealt with overall by the opposition between Caeiro’s sensible certainty and Campos self-reflective sensation, opposition that constitutes one of the propelling elements of depersonalization in heteronyms. Alberto Caeiro’s sense-certainty engages itself in undoing the ontological self-certainty as the foundation of heteronymic cogito. The idea is that by formalizing the poetic word with the objective experience, the master heteronym claims for himself and his disciples the truth of sense-certainty against the tyranny of representation. Afterwards, I will show how Álvaro de Campos, Fernando Pessoa ortonym and Ricardo Reis, while treading the path of depersonalization opened by the cunning of Alberto Caeiro, condenses fragments of reflective notions of the subject as propelling element of heteronymic depersonalization. |
