Resumo: | Blown of films is one of the most important processes of polymers for packaging application. The final properties are strongly linked with the morphology developed during the processing. The relationship between process variables, morphology and final properties is extremely complex being strongly related to the rheological behavior of the polymer, principally for blown films. Nanocomposites constitute a new class of materials which present better barrier, mechanical and thermal properties and better performance for greenhouses films, without decreasing the optical properties and the conditions of blown film process, having great potential for packaging applications. Therefore, the aim of this work was to investigate the mixing variables on the blown film process that are most important on the morphology of High Density Polyethylene nanocomposites films and its relationship with mechanical and barriers properties. Two different screws profiles were used. The nanocomposite produced by the configuration was used to produce the blown films. The properties of the films showed a strong improvement compared to the neat polymer films. |
