Resumo: This work aims to analyze two interventions by Carlos Marighella in the National Constituent Assembly of 1946 and their repercussion in the press. In this sense, we understand as necessary the deconstruction of an image rooted in society of the figure of Carlos Marighella as a hero and myth, seeking to point out the role of biographies in this construction. Associated with this, aware of the disparity of studies of this period of the object's life and of its publications in periodicals, we seek to understand a phase of political action through the institutional path as a parliamentarian. Throughout the work, we intend to analyze how was the political performance of the Communist Party, for which Marighella acted and became a member of the Central Committee, in the context of the democratic opening of 1945 and the consequent Constituent Assembly of 1946. Therefore, we will examine how Carlos Marighella was represented in the newspapers and their positions against what the party would defend in the Assembly.
