This dissertation is the result of master's research project entitled Where are the women? The problem that fostered this survey asked "How the health and mental health policies address the transversalities women's gender users of psychoactive substances? "And had as main objective to analyze how health policies to analyze the health and mental health policies address gender transversalities related to female users of psychoactive substances in order to provide insight to the strengthening, enhancement and creation of new service devices for this segment. The data collection field was the health of the municipality of Porto Alegre represented by the three levels of care, constituting services for primary care, specialized mental health care and attention to high complexity that provide care for women who use drugs. The instruments used in data collection were the focus group with the workers and semi-structured interviews with users of the surveyed services and document research seeking gender category in the texts of official documents, such as public policies, laws, municipal plan (Porto Alegre) and state (Rio Grande do Sul) health. The project was submitted to the Scientific Committee of the School of Social Work, PUCRS, to the Ethics Committee in Research / PUCRS and other ethics committees of the institutions partakers of the research. The precepts were respected and to protect the anonymity of the participants, we use pseudonyms as mythological goddesses as Demeter, Ceres and Bacchae, addressed in the historic rescue of this work. The results of the analysis indicate that public policies for women and the use of alcohol and other drugs refer to gender perspective, but this approach presents an incipient way in planning their actions, reflecting the health care of women in different care levels, with the homogenization of care through the service provided to women and men occur in the same way, with no attention to gender specificities. The study was guided by the dialectical - critical references present throughout the construction of the research, from the categories of the method as historicity, contradiction and totality. |
