Resumo: By including the context, Pro-Environmental Behavior (CPAs) lead to Subjective Well-Being (BES). This work is the first study to examine the internal context factors self (Self-compassion) and external (Universalism) as mediators of this relation. The results of this study show that there was mediation of Universalism and a complete mediation of Self-Compassion in relation to the CPA-BES. First: By behaving in a sustainable manner in their purchasing activities, one notices an increase in Subjective Well-Being in the individual; Second: Consumers who have a CPA and a commitment to equality, justice and the protection of all (Universalism), have attained a more positive Subjective Well-Being feeling. Third, if you relate in a healthy way to your self, you also increase the feeling of BES. Business managers and pro-environmental policy makers can influence pro-environmental behavior through its benefits to individual well-being, beliefs and values.
