Resumo: The rearrangements of the capital system, faced with yet another of its cyclical crises triggered starting at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, has brought to vogue the theme of cooperativism as a possibility for absorbing the workforce that is unnecessary to the formal employment mechanisms. Allied to this strategy of the system, anti-systemic movements have appeared that postulated alternative escapes to the working class so that these would turn into instruments for overcoming the logic of capital. Thus enter the scenario the enterprises of Social and Solidary Economy with a proposal of new sociability, based on the logic of cooperative production with self-managerial principles capable of producing the emancipation of freely associated workers. What has been the role of the State, in this historical period, in which public policies focus on the capital system or are formulated for this new "form of producing" life? The challenge of building a new cooperative model, ideologically and politically distinct from the traditional cooperativism and which, in a way, resizes the logic of associated work, puts itself in the everyday life of workers inthe enterprise of Social and Solidary Economy in the whole world, and more specifically, in Brazil. In times of re-structuring of capitalism, the alternatives can constitute strategies of reframing of the work as a development potential of the "New Man".
