Resumo: |
The objective is this work is to analyze the Brazilian intellectual representation in the movie Brasil ano 2000 (1968), by Walter Lima Júnior. Connected mainly to the works O desafio (Paulo César, 1965) and Terra em transe (Glauber Rocha, 1967), Brasil ano 2000 (1968) was the answer elaborated by Walter Lima Júnior to denounce April 1964s cue and the political change that came from it – a context that worked as élan to a whole process of artistic elaboration about this symbolic and complex episode. As a matter of fact, Brasil another 2000 took a stand not only against the regime, but also against all more conventional forms of the time's political activism, connect, then, to the national-popular movement. Among the questions, the self-representation made by it’s interlocutors – the intellectuals of a nationalist matrix – facing History's path and the roles they should occupy during the process. |
