Resumo: This master's thesis deals with the theme of the Liturgy of the Hours as a source of the Church's spirituality. This understanding was developed by the liturgical reform of the Second Vatican Council, which presents the liturgy, as a celebration of the Mystery of Christ, as the source and summit of the Church's life. Based on an analysis of texts from liturgical science, the intention is to respond by listing arguments that show how the Liturgy of the Hours can nourish the spiritual life of the Church. The celebration of the hours manifests the image of the Church as a sacrament which, made up of the lay faithful and ordained ministers, has the task of raising perennial praise to God through the action of Christ through the Holy Spirit. The presentation of the spiritual value of this liturgical action for ecclesial life begins with an analysis of trinitarian, ecclesiological and spiritual theology. The historical aspect helps to understand the theological development of the liturgy and, specifically, of the Liturgy of the Hours. In the end, the development aims to respond by presenting the theology of the Liturgy of the Hours as a spiritual source for the Church
