Resumo: |
Wireless technology is present nowadays in several applications from simple systems as residential automations to complex implementations such as nuclear plants. Networks intended to work with wireless sensors are denominated wireless network sensors as in the case of this work, which uses analog and meteorological data. With the proposal of efficiency with low energy consumption, this work presents the development of a system which accomplishes the acquisition and storage of data collected from a meteorological station using a wireless sensors network open platform. The main objective of this monitoring system is the pursuit of energy efficiency (ie, the best possible performance with low power consumption) and the reduced cost of acquisition, installation and maintenance of the system in the field. With this purposed,, the module nRF24L is conceptually presented, focusing on the communication protocol among modules, where the same device performs the function of receiver and transmitter. This system was developed for application on the Cryosphere, because this is an environment that offers unique features such as low temperature, unobstructed views and difficult to access for maintainability / collection of monitored data. Practical results measured in laboratory are compared to a standard commercial weather station, which serves as a benchmark to validate the proposed system. |
