Resumo: In use since 2019 by the Military Police of Santa Catarina, the individual câmera system seeks to increase the transparency of its actions, mitigate the reaction of people approached, reduce the need for the use of police force through surveillance of their actions; producing more robust evidence for eventual criminal, civil and administrative actions. The use of individual cameras by the police is still very timid and recent in Brazil, demanding a more in-depth study on the subject in order to answer: A picture is worth a thousand words? Addressing the use of images from individual cameras of the Military Police of Santa Catarina in judicial proceedings. The research used exploratory qualitative analysis as a methodology to study the uses of images from the individual cameras of the Military Police of Santa Catarina in judicial proceedings, carrying out bibliographic research, field research as a listener in the Jury Court and case studies in legal proceedings. It was concluded that the images used for the construction of narratives have a relevant impact on judicial processes, as they are vectors that, in the way they are used, influence the perception of how the characters are seen and how the situations happened. For future research purposes, it is necessary to explore more accurately how images are used in legal proceedings
