Resumo: This doctoral research in Systematic Theology, in the field of theopoetics, aims to identify in literature an action that spontaneously carries out diaconia. This diaconia is called spontaneous service, where a work of fiction performs a transitive activity from the world of the work to the circumstances. To do this, the theoretical framework left by Ortega y Gasset and Levinas was followed, using the method of literature review. The transitivity resulting from the acquisition of meaning and understanding horizon, in relation to the work, has a transformative impact on the reality of the vital context. The elements that link the novel and theology, within this context, are the themes of correlation. In order to achieve the result of this statement and serve as a methodological tool, an intercultural hermeneutics was proposed, a theopoetic resource that promotes dialogue between theological, literary, and philosophical aproaches to interpretation. It also resulted that in the reader who has a faith commitment, literature provokes the emergence of a missionary and pastoral attitude in the person who reads in relation to the community. Thus, the book on the desk is capable of educating the reader as well as serving the vital reality from which the desk is a part. Literature not only reaches the reader but also affects the phenomenon of their circumstances.
