Resumo: |
The generic violence, here focused in the maltreatments, that was mainly represented in terms of physic and psychological aggressions was the subject of this research. The problem proposed for this research was related with the question of maltreatments practiced against elderly and how the protective institutions of rights have dealt with this subject. Then, using bibliographic research we intendet analyze deeply the problem proposed. First of all, the research made an historic, sociological and anthropological approach of the aspects of the violence related with elderly in general, filtering after with focus in the city of Porto Alegre, to understand how this phenomenon occurred in the bosom of the family, initially, and expanded by the society. The central point of this research then followed to an analyze of the problem seeking to understood how it happenned in the society, what his influence today in the social act of living together and what can be done in what is concerned in the search for the social control of violence besides the protection of the elderly rights and for the maintenance of a life with dignity. The ending of this study happenned with an analysis of the collected data s in the empiric research that was realized in the Elderly Police Station of Porto Alegre. This afield research aspired to understand what the principals kinds of crimes verified in this city as to identify who were the main victims and aggressors, over and abover to determine what kind of crime was more commonly observed it this sample. |
