Resumo: |
This dissertation analyzes the interest of students of Basic Education in solving associated with the use of cinematic fiction in the classroom mathematical problems. To that end, we designed and implemented educational proposals by members of the Institutional Fellows Program Initiation to Teaching Scholarship - Mathematics PIBID PUCRS, four teachers and supervisors for nineteen undergraduates. The theoretical framework was supported in Solving Problem, in Interest, in Semiotics and Fiction, with the contribution of authors such as Dewey, Polya, Santaella, Peirce, Modro and Napolitano, seeking to trace the possible relationships between the featured topics, their applications and uses in teaching and also their evolution. For this, describes the pedagogical interventions by the researcher in order to enable scholar s subsidies for developing their proposals, as well as an involvement in the subject to obtain better results in schools. Shows the role that a fiction film can take in a mathematics class, either as a motivator for Mathematics, either as introducer or assist in the development of content that is as contextualizing for creating math problems. The analysis seeks to categorize and describe the information collected through pre-and post-survey questionnaire applied to scholars, students and the researcher's field journal, using as basis the Textual Discourse Analysis. Therefore, the proposals raised by the scholars following films were used: Pay It Forward, The fantastic chocolate factory, Casino Royale and two episodes of the series Numb3rs. In the proposed films ended up assuming the functions presented in the initial hypothesis, whether motivating for mathematics, be-introducer assist in developing the content of contextualizing for creating math problems. Most students of the four schools could see the relationship with the film and liked mathematics chosen by the fellows, under the analysis shows that the attitude and performance of the grantees were essential factors for successful proposals. Of course, other factors also contributed to some proposals had greater acceptance than others, such as choosing the right film, the association of movie content and method of work adopted by scholars. Finally, each step was important for the full development of the study, both the information collected about the students, as the fellows, so that one could see the effects of the application of the use of the film and its potential, as the real possibility of application and changes in student interest |
