Narradores de futebol, dos desbravadores aos contemporâneos: estilo e técnica da locução no rádio porto-alegrense (de 1931 a 2015) is a work that rescues part of the history of football narration. It is organized in three periods: Pioneer (1931 to 1958), Paradigmatic (1958 to 1984) and Contemporary (1984 to 2015). It is sought to comprehend the past so to understand the present and to project discussions on the future of narration. Therefore, it is aimed to analize which factors influenced on the evolution of the narrative of soccer and to describe the narrators' evolution of style and techniques by Carlos Schinner (2004) and Cyro César (2009) and rethorical ability, by Luciano Klöckner (2011) and Daniel Prietto Castillo (1989;1994). It is concluded that it does not exist one defined school of narration in Porto Alegre. Actually, it presents a number of ramifications of styles, from the most conservative to the most liberal in the way of narrating football.
