This research tries to offer a contribution to the debate about the mystery of the evil, considering the contradiction between the goodness of the divine creation and the presence of the evil in the world. Aware that we cannot find a final answer to that question, that since the beginning of the times plagues the humanity, we propose a debate starting of the relation between Cinema and Theology. Therefore, will be used as a resource the query of two movies and two theological excerpts that can contribute to this debate. The chosen films are “Melancholia” and “Antichrist”, of Lars Von Trier. Under the theological point of view, will seek inspiration in the final phrase of the Our Father (prayer): “deliver us from evil”; and in the stretch of the Saint Paul’s Letter to the Romans (Rm 7,19): “For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.”.
