Resumo: |
The aim of this study was to clinically evaluate the performance of indirect composite resin restorations cemented with conventional and self-adhesive resin cement, during a 12-month period. Twenty-four composite resin restorations were performed through indirect technique and cemented with two resin cements: a conventional (RelyX ARC) and a self-adhesive (RelyX U100). Two independent evaluators analyzed the restorations using the criteria of the USPHS (United States Public Health Service) modified after two weeks, six months and 12 months. For the analysis of data from USPHS, between the cements at the same time, it was used the Wilcoxon statistical test and for evaluation at different times, it was used the Mann-Whiney test, at significance level of 5 %. The Fisher exact test was used to assess the occurrence of absolute failures. No statistically significant differences were found between groups in the same period and between groups at different times, one statistical difference was found only for the criteria color match. We conclude that indirect composite resin restorations cemented with self-adhesive resin cement showed a similar performance of restorations cemented with conventional resin cement after a year of analysis. |
