The aim of this research is to investigate how "Prova Brasil" is inserted on the daily life of a primary school ("ensino fundamental") through the teachers´ views of external evaluations, as well as its influences on the curriculum. The methodology adopted was a semi-structured survey with 4 teachers of the 5th grade in 2013, to discover how important this evaluation is considered and how it is understood by the players. The data obtained was analysed with the use of Goodson, Apple and Sacristán´s theorical concepts of curriculums, as well as Afonso, Freitas and Werle´s definitions of external evaluations. The results show that "Prova Brasil" has played a significant role in Education, reinforcing the relations between educational quality and the performance in reading and puzzles-solving. Another point observed was the use of spreadsheets as a prescribed curriculum and formations in service focused on the contents presented in "Prova Brasil"´s Reference Matrix, conditioning the teachers´ work to this evaluation service |
