Resumo: The current essay focus on the reflection of issues related to the women and the youth having as central point of documentation the Capricho magazine in the years comprehended between 1988 - 2010. The proposal here presented emphasizes the need of comprehension of the representations that were built around of what was it like to be women and young in this historical period. At first it is recovered the emergence of the female journalism and the magazines aimed to the youth. The trajectory of the Publishing House Abril, responsible for publishing the Capricho magazine, is retaken. First created as an almanac with photo novels and then turned into a magazine for the youth and teens that brings to discussion an array of topics surrounding the sexuality of that public. Under an intersectional view between gender and generation it is discussed matters regarding the constitution of the female body, motherhood, sexual freedom, contraception, contraceptive pills, sexual precocity, pregnancy, child-birth, observing the role of the medical and legal discourses about the presented matters in focus. To conclude, the analysis focus itself in the controversies concerning abortion and the repression aroused over the matter in the Capricho magazine, questioning opinions and checking how the periodic places itself before the matter, polemicizing, and informing
