Resumo: This research aims to analyze the history of the fat body from different areas. In this sense, a brief analysis of the history of the body in the twentieth century and its developments was carried out, giving prominence to the fat body from the 1960s onwards. From the emergence of resistance groups and fat militancy, we sought to understand what were the consequences that have made this a prominent topic in the recent years, in the society, fashion, beauty and health. Social movements that have come into vogue in recent times were also analyzed, such as Body Positivity, Body Image and Body Neutrality. In addition, in this research some examples of artistic productions that emerged in the 21st century were given and that put the fat body as its main theme. Books, songs and videos made on YouTube by influencers were also highlighted. Finally, socializing spaces made by and for fat people were studied: parties, fashion fairs and fashion shows
