This thesis entitled “Education with crisis migrants in the east zone of São Paulo: its challenges and possibilities” started from the general objective of identifying the challenges faced for the inclusion of crisis migrant students in Elementary Education, broken down into the following objectives specific: a) list the characteristics of the education of Bolivian migrants in elementary schools that make up the territory monitored by DRE Penha; b) identify the challenges encountered by Education professionals in order to provide social inclusion for migrant students and advance their learning and c) propose possible solutions for the identified challenges. To answer the problematizing question “what are the characteristics, challenges and possibilities of education with crisis migrants in the east zone of São Paulo?” Using a qualitative approach, virtual and in-person interviews were carried out with the Pedagogical Coordinators, Teachers, Directors and Assistant Directors of seven Municipal Elementary Schools of the Penha Regional Directorate of Education, in addition to listening in person to a focus group made up of mothers of bolivian nationality, which meets periodically in the Brás region, to discuss issues related to motherhood and children's education. Participant observation was also carried out at ongoing training meetings and optional courses for Pedagogical Coordinators and Teachers on subjects related to the education of migrants in the municipal education network. The theoretical foundation was based on the studies of several authors who deal with political and educational crises, such as Harvey, Arendt, Bourdieu, Freire, Walsh, Gomes and Libâneo. To construct meaning, several multimodal resources were also used, such as: images, music, poems, videos, inspired by the work to be continued…brazzles of Latin America, by Regina Silveira (1992). The results achieved were the characterization of the challenges and possibilities of education with crisis migrants in the east zone of São Paulo, from the perspective of an education in ethnic-racial relations that promote critical interculturality |
