Resumo: |
This work has as purpose to investigate whether the use of different languages influence the ability of subjects of basic education in solving problems. The research is a qualitative study on the subject of learning of the 7th grade on the use of mathematical concepts and representations, based on Theory of the Registers of Representation Semiotics of Raymond Duval. To identify the appropriations of records, was applied to 5 double from subjects, an instrument to be answered on paper and pencil, with activities in which the subjects needed to decide which record use and others that explicitly required change of registration. There was double, in general, made the changes of record properly requested, and, in activities which should, spontaneously, mobilize conversions, what representations were appropriated. At the end of research, it was noted that, gradually, there has been an evolution in the performance of the subjects. In making the change of record in solving problems, showed satisfaction in that kind of experience and felt that they can carry mathematical knowledge using the different languages |
