Resumo: |
This research aims to identify, discuss and analyze the training and professional trajectory of professors who teach in higher education journalism courses, seeking to understand the area in which they are trained and the theoretical and practical framework that prevails in their professional practice. In this way, the profile, training and professional performance of a sample of teachers and the trends present in the courses or training offered to journalism students were considered, considering, in terms of professionalization, the technical mastery over the activity and/or the humanistic or political education, based on Theodor W. Adorno's thinking on cultural formation and pseudo-formation. The analysis focuses on the universities Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUC-Campinas), Universidade São Judas Tadeu (USJT), Anhembi Morumbi, Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Cásper Libero, Belas Artes, Escola Superior of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM – São Paulo and Porto Alegre) and Methodist University of São Paulo, whose courses follow two lines of training: journalism and social communication with specialization in journalism. Therefore, the research seeks to understand the formation of the new generation of journalism professionals from the perspective of Critical Theory. Thus, it was analyzed that the courses have adapted to new journalistic trends, but still have significant gaps in the training process of these new journalists |
