Resumo: |
Obesity has become a worldwide health problem and has affected milions of people af all ages, including adolescents. This research has considered to know the standards interactions defined by the Familiar Model FIRO (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) in families who have an obese adolescent and to understand how standards familiar interactions has an influence in the obesity problem. This study is characterized as a qualitative research carried through with São Paulo´s families of obeses adolescents initiating an obesity treatment. For the collection of information the half-structtured interview and the Genogram had been used. It was carried through between one or two meetings with each family in the place where the treatment is offered. In the analysis of the conversations it was evidenced the difficulty of the families in the inclusion of obesity, of the obese member and/or of the habit change (treatment) in the following situations: alliances that fortify the obese member or configure a propicious situation for the food attainment; absence, negligence or lack of a model to take care of son´s obesity; difficulty of the members in commiting themselves to a sense of belonging; resistence in recognizing the obesity as part of the indentity of the familiar group; prejudiced vision that they perceive in the society in relation to the obesity. The control in the relations is directly related to the alimentary control, the use of rigid rules, threat or punishment from parents on the alimentary behavior of the children, excites a reaction of revolt, disobedience and even an alimentary uncontrol in a paradoxical intention to retake control on their behavior. Finally, the intimacy is superficial, having a clear restriction of the adolescents in sharing the feelings and vulnarabilities; and this is due to obesity or to the phase of development where they find themselv |
