This research describes the process formation and structuring of a discipline of the medicine course, the radiology, since the moment of the arrival of a apparrel ray X in the medicine university of the Bahia to the moment of the creation of a discipline. We analyze how the Radiology was taught in many disciplines of the courses of the medicine, pharmacy, odontology and obstetrics, delimiting the historical course of the Radiology in the Bahia. We have established for our research the period betweem the 1897, moment of the arrival of a apparrel X ray in the medicine university of the Bahia , and 1974, after the Dr. Itazil Benício dos Santos have been approved in contest for professor of radiology of the Federal University of the Bahia
